Selling & Marketplace
What you can sell
Tappzy lets you accept payments directly from your page in three ways:
- Tip jar — Let fans support you with one-time tips of any amount.
- Digital downloads — Sell files, guides, presets, templates, or any digital product. Buyers pay and get an instant download link.
- Paid links — Gate any link behind a one-time payment. Visitors pay to unlock access.
Setting up Stripe Connect
To receive payments, you need to connect a Stripe account. Here's how:
- Open your page editor (click the manage link from your email)
- Scroll down to the "Payments" section
- Click "Connect with Stripe"
- You'll be redirected to Stripe to create or connect your account
- Follow Stripe's onboarding — enter your name, bank details, and verify your identity
- Once complete, you'll be redirected back to Tappzy
After connecting, a green "Stripe connected" badge will appear in your editor. You can now enable the tip jar, add digital downloads, or set up paid links.
Platform fees
Tappzy charges a platform fee on each sale made through your page:
- Standard plan ($20/yr) — 9% platform fee per transaction
- Business plan ($50/yr) — 0% platform fee (you keep everything)
Stripe's own processing fee (typically 2.9% + 30¢) applies to all transactions regardless of plan. This is charged by Stripe, not Tappzy.
Payouts
Payouts are handled entirely by Stripe. When someone pays you through your Tappzy page:
- The payment goes to your connected Stripe account
- Stripe deducts its processing fee and any Tappzy platform fee
- The remaining amount is deposited to your bank account on Stripe's standard payout schedule (typically 2 business days)
You can view all your transactions, balances, and payout history in your Stripe Dashboard.
Disconnecting Stripe
To disconnect your Stripe account, go to your page editor and scroll to the "Payments" section. Click "Disconnect Stripe." Your tip jar, digital downloads, and paid links will stop accepting payments until you reconnect.
For Attendees
Editing your page
When your page is created, you'll receive an email with a direct edit link. Click it to open your page editor — no sign-in needed. Bookmark this link so you can come back to it anytime.
Customizing your page
In the editor, you can change your display name, bio, profile image, and add links to your social profiles or websites. If the event organizer hasn't locked the theme, you can also pick your own colors, fonts, and background effects.
Lost your edit link?
Go to tappzy.net and scroll down to "Already have a page?" Enter the email you signed up with and we'll send you a new link.
Page removed?
If you see a "Page removed" message, the event organizer has removed your page. Contact them directly if you think this was a mistake.
For Event Organizers
Creating an event
Scroll to the "For Events" section on the homepage. Choose your event size, enter your email, and complete checkout. You'll receive an email with a sign-in link to access your event dashboard.
Public vs Private events
Public: Anyone with your event link can sign up and create their own page. You can also import attendees via CSV. Share the signup link freely.
Private: Only people you add via CSV import can access the event. The signup link is hidden and self-signup is disabled. Use this for invite-only events.
You can switch between public and private at any time from your dashboard.
Adding attendees via CSV
In your dashboard, use the CSV importer to bulk-add attendees. Your CSV should have columns for name and email. Each attendee will get their own page and receive an email with their edit link.
You can preview and remove individual rows before importing. Duplicate emails are skipped automatically.
Managing your dashboard
Toggle signup: Open or close self-signup for public events at any time.
Theme lock: Force all attendee pages to use the same template, colors, and font. Great for branded events.
Remove attendees: Click the trash icon next to any attendee to remove their page.
End event: Permanently closes signup and removes all attendee pages. This cannot be undone.
